The Benefits of Working with a Pediatric Counselor...
Pediatric counselors address unique mental illnesses in children, recognizing that their conditions and responses can vary greatly from adults. They tackle issues such as trauma and behavioral problems, assessing specific needs, setting appropriate goals, and understanding developmental stages and age-specific symptoms to avoid misdiagnoses.
Choosing a pediatric therapist who exclusively sees children and teens ensures specialized, effective, and compassionate care tailored just for your child.

Founder, CEO, Clinical Director, Licensed Professional Counselor
Hi there! I’m so glad you stopped by! I’ve been dedicated to children’s mental health for many years and have been helping families in the Shenandoah Valley for over a decade. I love working with children and families in Winchester. I believe our future depends on caring for our youth’s mental well-being right from the start.
I’m a proud Kansas State University grad with degrees in Psychology and Social Science and a master’s in professional counseling from Liberty University. I’m a board licensed professional counselor through the Commonwealth of Virginia. My goal is to make mental health information easy to access and understand, ensuring everyone feels informed and supported.
With extensive experience as a keynote speaker and trainer, I specialize in mental health, wellness, and education. I work with schools, businesses, and non-profit organizations to deliver impactful training sessions and develop curricula aimed at enhancing mental health literacy and best practices.
My insatiable curiosity drives me to dive into the latest psychology studies during my free time. When I’m not unraveling the mind’s mysteries, you’ll find me maintaining an active lifestyle as a runner, devouring books, getting crafty, and cheering our four daughters on in all their endeavors. I also love experimenting with new healthy recipes. My aim is to empower strength in every aspect of life!

Outside of work, I value the time I spend with my wife and three kids, whether coaching their sports teams, fishing, playing games, or traveling together. I also enjoy diving into home improvement projects and tinkering around the house. Spending time outdoors with my family is incredibly rewarding and fulfilling.
